Tomlin’s delegate, Mr Zsombor Barta certified the first BREEAM project in South Korea
The ECO Hub building is the new headquarter of the SK Gas & Chemicals Group. Sustainability is one of the primary goals of the SK Group, therefore, as the development of a new headquarter building was decided it was also clear, that the building should fulfil international sustainability standards and should provide a healthy environment for the future building users.
The strong commitment towards sustainable real estate development was strengthen with the decision to undergo Korea’s first BREEAM certification ever and to implement the sustainability measures according to a standard, developed in Europe. Mr Zsombor Barta, Director of Sustainability of Tomlin was assigned as the accredited BREEAM assessor for this unique and pioneering project.
The project achieved a final rating level of Very Good. The successful final certification in a country, where no BREEAM certification was performed before was also honoured by the BRE with the Country First Award 2015 for the BREEAM assessor, Mr Zsombor Barta.
